Felito and Anna Utuie are the founding Directors of Africa on Fire Ministries and the “Houses of Hope” (known as the Hope Project).
They met in Toronto Canada in 2004 while studying at the School of Ministry and were married in November 2006. They now live in Maputo with their son Issachar and adopted daughter Paulina.
Anna loves being a mum, not only to their two children, but to those who have no mothers. Her heart is for children and is very passionate about helping young mothers. This includes starting a birthing and wellness centre for the women and their children. Her desire is to create a place that is safe and clean for women and children to come for check-ups and receive the necessary treatment (including a follow-up plan if required) and a place for women to give birth to their children in an safe, clean and encouraging environment.
"That none should perish" Is Felito's motto. It is his utmost passion in life is to see every tribe and tongue come to Jesus. This evangelistic fire drives him to the darkest, hardest and most unreached areas and nations. Seeing many salvations, healings to the sick and deliverance to the oppressed and countless others receiving freedom that only Jesus can bring.
At the young age of 17. God clearly commissioned him from the verse in Ezekiel 22:30 "God is looking for a man who can breech the gap". Felito rose up to answer the call to be that man and follow the Lamb wherever He would go. He has never turned back since.
For years he was disciple by Heidi and Rolland Baker and became one of the leaders in IRIS Ministries. While serving with Iris Ministries he was involved in spearheading a historic revival that is sweeping across the Northern Moslem provinces of Mozambique especially Cabo-DelGado.
Felito is also a graduate from Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship School of Ministry.
It was during his time in Cabo-DelGado that God spoke to Felito about spreading the fire all over Africa. After they were married, Felito and Anna started Africa on Fire Ministries. Soon after that, they moved to South Africa and planted a church in one of the poorest townships in Johannesburg South Africa. The fire spread quickly, just as God spoke to Felito. They are currently based in Mozambique doing outreaches, planting churches and starting the HOPE PROJECT. Which includes housing orphans and ministering to those affected by HIV and AIDS and ministering to the local community.
